The church can be more effective in meeting the needs and reaching the lost by the “fear of the Lord” which is the beginning of wisdom. If we as a whole truly feared the Lord,  realizing that eternity was near, not only for us, but for those around us, then our whole attitude would change, passion, gifts, actions, our ways, motives, our resources, all that we have would be implemented to touch and to reach others for Jesus sake. If each could get a view of eternity it would cause an amazing change where we would seek God and obey Him in reaching and teaching the lost and those who receive Christ.

At Peter’s sermon and in light of the mighty witness of the miracle of tongues, conviction fell and 3,000 converts were baptized into the Kingdom of God. This is exciting because at Sinai when the Law was written in stone and broken, 3,000 were slain (Exodus 32:28).

The Last Will and Testament of Jesus is the Great Commission found in Matthew 28. It is to evangelize and to  make disciples everywhere, to do all of the things that Jesus did, teach the ways He taught, command the way He commanded, live the way He lived, to do just like Him by the power of the Holy Spirit.

In our society the respect for mans’ last will and testament is taken seriously and lawfully where as the Last Will and Testament of Jesus Christ is disregarded and not taken seriously. I think that it is because we have not grasp the “Kingdom concept” of our Lord Jesus Christ. If He were our King, we would “obey” Him.

The Great Commission of Matthew 28 is the last will and testament, a mandate for Christ’s disciples then and now. It can only be fulfilled by us through our co-operation and obedience to the Holy Spirit of God and working in conjunction with Jesus and His Body in the earth.

The church can become more inclusive by loving and receiving those that Jesus loves and receives. The key is to stay in right relationship with Jesus Christ and the church leadership and with one another under the divinely set, fivefold ministry of the local church, and began functioning and operating in the individual callings and gifting within the body of Christ in conjunction with the leadership and the rest of the church body.

Building bridges means that you must come outside of the safe walls of the worship center and find a way to cross multi-cultural lines by building relationships with an evangelism mentality.
